WE ARE SOLVING YOUTH HOMELESSNESS
BY STRENGTHENING

THE BONDS OF ATTACHMENT.

KEEPING TEENS CONNECTED TO SCHOOL, HOME, COMMUNITY, AND CONFIDENCE.

Every day, we see the devastating impact of broken relationships.
Alone, vulnerable and scared, Teens too often feel they have no choice but to be on their own.
That is why RAFT exists.
To repair and reinforce essential human bonds.
And prevent Young People from leaving home in the first place.
As Attachment experts, we offer Teens a way out of desperate situations. A way through school. A way into meaningful employment.
Everything we do builds security, stability and self-esteem.
Because when Young People feel attached to someone or something, they never come to define themselves as homeless.

WHAT’S YOUR POINT OF ATTACHMENT?

Youth homelessness affects all of us. And each of us can play an important role in helping to end it.

FEELING ALL ALONE?

RAFT is all about building strong Attachments. We always start by listening to what really matters to you. Following your lead, we will create a personalized plan that supports you in the ways that will make a meaningful difference.

At RAFT, we believe that shelters aren’t the answer. While they may respond to an emergency need, they also create a cycle of dependency. That’s why we’ve spent the last quarter century focused on diverting Kids from shelters and addressing the underlying cause of Youth homelessness: relationship breakdown. We offer tailored one-to-one advice, counsel and services that build mindsets and skillsets, so Teens know they are both valued and valuable.

FLIPPING THE SWITCH ON TEEN HOMELESSNESS.

PROGRAMS THAT TIE KIDS TO THEMSELVES AND TO OTHERS.

Incredible things happen when Kids are given the Attachment tools that make them feel safe and secure.  When Young People are shown a convenient way to stay in school, the dropout rate drops. When given the necessary skills and training to make a living, they become self-reliant. And when they have access to resources in their own communities, they feel determined rather than defeated.

To repair and reinforce essential human bonds. And to prevent Young People from leaving home in the first place. Because when Teens have connections and feel a sense of belonging, they don’t define themselves as homeless in the first place.

Today, we’ll provide an overview of attachment, how strong healthy relationships provide Young People with a real place to call home, and what we’re doing at RAFT to facilitate change within the community.
